The Elphin Windmill Committee are determined to restore the tourist attraction once again

Elphin Windmill was badly damaged during Storm Éowyn when its sails were ripped off by strong winds.

The chief executive of Roscommon County Council says the local authority will help with the restoration of a local tourist attraction. Elphin Windmill was badly damaged during Storm Éowyn when its sails were ripped off by strong winds.

A local committee has since bee working through its insurance company in a bid to repair the historic structure. Chief Executive Shane Tiernan said the Council would support its efforts in any way it could:
