Roscommon County Council is being criticised for renting office space in Boyle to a semi-state company for only €1,050 a month. It's leasing 1,400 square feet of the former Royal Hotel building to Coillte for 10 years.
The semi-state company will pay the council €12,600 a year for the second-floor space. Local Fianna Fáil councillor Sean Moylan is happy the building is being occupied but has concerns about the rent:
