There are growing concerns regarding the availability of turkeys this Christmas as efforts continue to tackle bird flu.
A Nationwide Housing Order for Poultry came into effect today following an outbreak at Fota Wildlife Park last month.
There have also been a number of cases in turkey flocks in Carlow and Kells recently.
The restriction means free-range farmers must keep birds indoors and restrict the animals' movements.
