Ronan Glynn resigns as Deputy CMO

He would have been expected to be the front runner to replace the also soon to depart CMO Tony Holohan.

Dr. Ronan Glynn has resigned from his position as Deputy Chief Medical Officer.

The Department of Health has confirmed he will leave the role at the end of this month.

Dr. Glynn was a prominent figure during the pandemic alongside Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan.

He also deputised for the CMO during his compassionate leave in 2020.
