A road in north Roscommon has re-opened in the last hour following a serious road crash last night.
A man in his 50s remains in a serious condition in hospital following the crash near Boyle.
The single vehicle collision occurred just after 9pm on the R294 at Tinacarra approximately 2km from Boyle town.

The road was closed for a number of hours to allow a forensic examination of the scene to take place this morning and the road is now open to traffic once more
Gardaí in Boyle are appealing for witnesses.
