The scene of a fatal Roscommon road crash overnight has reopened this evening.
A man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s, who are both form Ballymote in County Sligo, died a as result of the single vehicle collision which occurred on the R293 just outside the town overnight.
A man in his 20s, who was a passenger in the car, is also recovering in hospital after suffering what is believed to have been a broken shoulder in the crash.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R293 at the time of the collision are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí at Castlerea who are investigating.
Ballaghaderreen based County Councillor Michael Mulligan says the loss of two people's lives in the crash is especially tragic.
