Renewed calls have been made minor injury unit and dialysis service to be developed in Longford town.
The calls come as the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar had 70 patients waiting for a bed across the month of March.
This an increase of the figure a year previously which stood at 55.

Local Fine Gael Cllr Peggy Nolan previously earmarked the existing St Joseph's Care Centre site in the town as a possible location.
