A record of almost 20,000 people visited Castlerea swimming pool over the summer. The outdoor facility opened on June 18th and remained open until the end of August. Community Development Minister, Dara Calleary, officially opened a new splash zone at the pool in June. Castlerea councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice was delighted with the number of users over the summer:
