Two local students have been recognised at this year's National Garda Youth Awards.
The ceremony which was held in Portaoise of the over weekend celebrate the contributions of young people, both individually and as part of groups in their local community
Amy Keogh from Leitrim received a special achievement award for her work with the home youth liaison service.

Longford Comhairle na nÓg member Geraldine Maughan was also awarded on the night for community safety work.
This year's awards were presented by Deputy Commissioner, Anne Marie McMahon and Assistant Commissioner, Paula Hilman.
