A protest over ongoing public realm works in Ballaghaderreen will take place at Roscommon County Council headquarters today. A busload of retailers and residents is making its way to Áras an Chontae in Roscommon town this afternoon.
The controversial project has been the subject of ongoing protests in Ballaghaderreen in recent months. Retailers have confirmed they will hold a peaceful demonstration before and after today's monthly meeting of the local authority.
The protest is due to commence at around two o'clock.
