Proposed bill for assisted suicide to be considered again today

The Dying With Dignity Bill would allow people with a terminal diagnosis the choice to end their lives

A proposed bill to legislate for assisted suicide may be referred to an Oireachtas Committee.

The Dying with Dignity Bill would allow for euthanasia for terminally ill people.

The Oireachtas Justice Committee will consider legal advice on the bill at a private meeting this afternoon.

Committee Chair James Lawless says they'll have to decide whether it can go ahead.
