A total of 133 cardinals will return to the Sistine Chapel after failing to elect a successor to Pope Francis last night.

Four more rounds of voting in the papal conclave will take place in the Vatican City this morning.

Black smoke emerged after no one received the required 89 votes during yesterday's first round.
