Postmasters warn they could ballot for industrial action unless they receive state support

A crisis meeting is to take place next month to discuss all options

Postmasters say there'll be 'unrestrained closures' of Post Offices in July, if the Government doesn't act urgently. The Irish Postmasters' Union is calling on the state to give them a financial injection within weeks or the Network will collapse.

It'll hold crisis meetings in June to discuss all options, including a ballot on a work stoppage. Irish Postmasters Union General Secretary, Ned O'Hara says the Government needs to support post offices:
