The Environmental Protection Agency has identified a county Roscommon lake with poor ecological status.
This is due to issues affecting fish at Lough Meelagh, located close to Keadue.
Lakes in counties Clare, Galway, Monaghan were found to be most impacted.
While phosphorus levels were moderate in most cases, fish populations still suffered, suggesting other environmental pressures.
