Roscommon's age-friendly ambassador brought the curtain down on a festival to mark the 35th anniversary of the closure of the Arigna mines yesterday. Paddy Joe Burke officially opened the Arigna Community Park, which includes an AstroTurf pitch and walking trail.

The festival ran from July 9th to the 12th.
One of the organisers, John Lynch, told Eoghan he was delighted with how it went.
