Plans to restrict short-term lets in towns with a population of more than 20 thousand are progressing.
Agreement was reached within Government last night, marking a change from initial plans to target towns of 10 thousand people.
Longford-Westmeath TD and Tourism Minister Peter Burke says it will boost long-term housing stock.
