Planning permission has been lodged for the installation of a telecom mast in a picturesque Westmeath Village. On Tower Ireland Limited is seeking the permission for the 24 metre monopole at Pearsonbrook in Glasson. The plan includes the support structure carrying antennas, dishes, remote radio units associated equipment together with ground based equipment cabinets, fencing and a concrete plinth.
The structure is intended to be used for wireless data and broadband services. Westmeath County Council will decide on the issue in January.
