Planning permission sought for women's refuge centre in Athlone

Planning permission is being sought for the development of a Women's Refuge Centre in Athlone.
The application proposes to convert an existing 7 bedroom B&B into a refuge centre in Bonavalley.

The project will also include two additional bedrooms, reception area and other minor internal changes.
Westmeath county planners have received the application and are due to make a decision by the end of April.
