A local supermarket has lodged planning for a new development on it's site.
Athlone Supervalu Limited has applied to Westmeath County Council to place over 1,000 square metres of solar panels on the roof of it's store on the Ballymahon road
These panels would be used to create green energy, all of which would be used by the shop to power it.
