Longford County Council has given the go ahead for the construction of a 24 metre high telecommunications mast in North Longford. Emerald Towers Limited were awarded planning permission for the lattice tower together with broadcast equipment and security fencing in Ballinalee.
Longford County Planners approved the application with 8 conditions attached. These include a provision for the monitoring of electromagnetic energy and a tree planting plan using native deciduous and evergreen trees.
