Government measures to ease the cost of petrol and diesel will come into effect from midnight tonight.
Ministers are set to sign off on measures that will ultimately cut the cost at the fuel pumps by 17 cent a litre for petrol and 22 cent for diesel.
The relief package will only remain in effect until May, amid hopes the Iran conflict causing the price hikes may have ended by then.
Measures will also be outlined later for hauliers and bus companies.
Political correspondent Sean Defoe says there will also be extra relief for those on fuel allowance.
There's been mixed local reaction to the measures.
