People across the Shannonside Northern Sound region are being urged not to be afraid to explore poetry.
The Poetry Towns initiative gets underway from next weekend month with Poet Laureates announced for Bailieborough, Cootehill, Carrick on Shannon and Strokestown.
They will pen a specially commissioned poem and present it to the town on Culture Night after a week long of activities throughout each town
