Over sixteen million euro worth of drugs seized in Co. Wexford

There's been a massive drugs seizure in County Wexford worth over 16 million euro. The discovery has been made at Rosslare Europort.

Gardaí and Revenue officers found the drugs during risk profiling with the help of Revenue's x-ray scanner and sniffer dog Jasper. They discovered 783 kilos of herbal cannabis and 70 kilos of cannabis resin when they stopped and searched an unaccompanied freight unit at Rosslare Europort. It had disembarked a ferry from Bilbau in Spain. No arrests have been made. The seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
