Over one in four commercial buildings in Edgeworthstown are vacant. According to a new GeoDirectory report, it's significantly above the average for Co Longford, at 14.8 per cent.
It's 18 per cent in Leitrim and 17.8 per cent in Roscommon. Each Shannonside county has recorded a slight increase in commercial vacancy rates over the past year. Fine Gael councillor Paul Ross says he's surprised at the very high figure for Edgeworthstown:
