That's according to the Early Childhood Barometer for 2026.

Over half of adults in Connacht say the Government is not doing enough to address the shortage of Early Years places.
That's according to the Early Childhood Barometer for 2026.

The ninth annual poll was conducted by RED-C on behalf of Early Childhood Ireland.
It also found that 75 per cent of those surveyed in the region believe early years places should be free:
