Over €90,000 has been secured for agricultural shows across the region.
The funding was announced by Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary.
Co. Roscommon received the most funding in the Shannonside region at €40,995.
This money will finance agricultural shows in Roscommon, Strokestown, Elphin, Castlerea, and Boyle this summer.
While Co. Leitrim is to receive €25,050 in funding.
It will help show committees for the Ballinamore, Manorhamilton and Mohill agricultural shows as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Finally, €24,255 has been secured for agricultural shows in Co. Longford.
The Longford and Granard agriculture events as well as the Ballinalee Connemara Pony Show will benefit from the funding.
Nationally, €1 million has been invested to support 123 agricultural shows right across the country.
