The 2024 Local Government Climate Action Key Performance Indicators Report monitors the adoption of climate measures across local authorities.
It also tracks how counties use allocated funding to deliver cycling and pedestrian infrastructure.
In 2024, over €3 million was spent to deliver 1.3 kilometres of active travel projects in Co. Roscommon.
Longford delivered 17 projects last year totalling €2.5 million, an addition of 6.7 kilometres to the nation's active travel infrastructure.
While €1.4 million was the overall cost in Leitrim and 1.1 kilometres.
Local Green Party member Leslie O'Hora says the figures are disappointing.
