Almost 320,000 euro has been allocated to archaeological monuments in the Shannonside region - to protect them into the future.
There are three in Roscommon, two in Longford and one in Leitirm.
The government has today announced the 122 projects that will be awarded 7.5 million euro in funding under the 2025 Community Monuments Fund.
These grants help owners and custodians of archaeological monuments to safeguard them into the future.
In Roscommon, Cloonshanville Friary near Frenchpark has been given 100,000.
Castle Island on Lough Key and Kiltullagh Church in Granlahan have both been allocated 30,000 each.
In Longford, Abbeyshrule Abbey has got 100,000 and Saints Island on Lough Ree just under 29,000.
The only project awarded funding in Leitrim is the Old Church of Ireland in Manorhamilton, getting 30,000.
