Over €100,000 euro in funding allocated for local biodiversity projects

Over €100,000 in funding has been allocated for biodiversity projects across the Shannonside region.

Both Leitrim and Roscommon will be receiving just over €50,000 each which will be used for projects such as a County Leitrim Wetlands Survey and IAS Treatment Programme in Roscommon

Longford has been allocated €30,000 with the majority set to be used for the Longford Hedgerow Project.

A total of €2.5 million is being distributed for biodiversity projects nationwide.
