The Shannonside region was among the worst hit by the storm

Over 7,000 people are still without power in the Shannonside region following Storm Isha.

As the clear up continues after Sunday night's storm, weather warnings have been issued for Storm Jocelyn which is due to hit this evening. ESB crews are still working to restore power to thousands of homes across the Shannonside region today following Storm Isha. The Shannonside region was among the worst hit by the storm. As of this morning, over 7,000 homes, farms and businesses are still out. Leitrim is the worst hit, with ESB networks still tackling 3,100 outages. That's followed by Roscommon at 2,640 and Longford at 1,300. The ESB has warned that it may take a number of days to fully restore power at properties in some areas. This comes as Storm Jocelyn is set to make landfall later this evening.

Met Éireann has issued Status Orange wind warnings for Donegal, Galway and Mayo from 6pm this evening. The rest of the country will be subject to a yellow alert.
