Over 200 people attended a peaceful protest in Roscommon town yesterday afternoon against proposed asylum seeker accommodation.
It comes after Noel Whelan applied for an exemption to house those seeking International Protection on Goff Street in the town. An Bord Pleanala is due to make a decision on the property known as Academy House in August.
Yesterday's protest was organised by the Roscommon Says No To IPAS group.
