Over 1,500 home energy upgrades have been carried out across the Shannonside region last year.
The data was published by the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment.
The government supports annual home energy upgrades via the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland.
This sees the retrofitting of properties and installation of heat pumps as part of Ireland's Climate Action Plan to reduce CO2 emissions from the residential sector by 2030.
Co. Roscommon benefitted from the most home energy upgrades in the region, at 941 last year.
While in Co. Leitrim, 433 home energy upgrades were carried out, and just 367 in Co. Longford.
The two counties saw the least amount of property retrofits in the country in 2024.
Nationally, there has been a 13% increase in the number of home energy upgrades last year compared to 2023.
The government supported a total of 53,984 upgrades via the SEAI in 2024, exceeding the target of 52,200 properties for that year.
