Over 1,200 fines have been issued to people in the Shannonside Northern Sound region for breaches of Covid 19 guidelines. The highest number of local fines was in the Cavan-Monaghan Garda division where fixed notices have been issued to 477 people.
Roscommon-Longford Gardaí have issued fines to 355 people and 369 fixed penalty notices have been issued to people by Gardai across Sligo-Leitrim.
More than 2,300 people have been fined for organising or attending a party and 11,072 fines have been handed out for non-essential travel, including 1,011 at the airport or ports.
