Over 10,000 criminal offences were carried out in the Shannonside region in the first nine months of 2025.
Figures published by the Central Statistics Office do show similar offences were carried out in both the Sligo-Leitrim and Roscommon-Longford Garda divisions.
In Sligo-Leitrim, theft and related offences accounted for the highest total with 462 recorded from January until September.
445 offences were filed under 'dangerous or negligent acts', while litter offences amount to two.
In Roscommon-Longford, meanwhile, 604 road and traffic offences took place across that period.
Similar to Sligo-Leitrim, theft and related offences were high, at 451 with just one firework-related incident taking place.
