The mass vaccination centre for county Longford will open on May 6th.
The facility at the community centre in Newtownforbes is currently being fitted out with vaccination booths expected to be installed in the coming weeks.
Once open it will operate five days a week and deliver up to 4,000 vaccines a week when at full capacity.

Councilor Peggy Nolan says there has been a huge effort to ensure a centre for the county but it needs to be scaled up to seven days to catch up with other centres in the Midlands:
