Over 300 in Shannonside region deferred property tax due to financial pressure

334 people in the Shannonside region didn't have to pay their property tax last year because they were under money-pressure.

They were given deferrals - but the money will still have to be paid at a later date, with interest.

86 people in Leitrim got a deferral last year, along with 115 in Longford, and 133 in Roscommon.

Sligo-Leitrim TD Frank Feighan, from Fine Gael, says the system is welcome.
