One in every seven offers of a council house in Roscommon this year has been turned down.
Roscommon County Council says 34 people signed up to a council house in the first nine months of this year.
Another 10 entered into agreements with approved housing bodies.

The council says around 15 per cent of applicants, who received an offer of a council house, refused the offer.
