Waterways Ireland is investigating an oil spill at Acres Lake in Drumshanbo today.

It's understood the spill was alerted to Leitrim County Council by a member of the public at approximately 9.30am this morning.

Waterways Ireland has confirmed that they are now aware of the situation and a boat crew is en-route to undertake remediation.
