The Government does not intend reopening Castlerea fire station, according to a Fianna Fáil TD.
It has been closed for the past eight years, and cover has been provided by other stations.
There have been fresh calls for it to be reopened after a massive wildfire in west Roscommon two weeks ago.

But Deputy Martin Daly, from Fianna Fáil, says that's not on the agenda - which he's disappointed with.
