No properties have been investigated by councils in the Shannonside region as suspected illegal short-term lets in the last three years.
Since July 2019, property owners in a Rent Pressure Zone have had to secure planning permission to provide short-term or holiday letting, unless they rent out their home or a second property for less than 90 days a year.
The Irish Independent are reporting that there were no investigations into the lets in either Leitrim and Longford.
While Roscommon County Council would not release the data unless a Freedom of Information request was made.
