New laws could be on the way to ban phones from Irish classrooms.
According to the Irish Mirror government ministers are keen to tackle the 'scourge' of mobiles in both primary and secondary schools.
They claims the devices have a detrimental effect on education.

The paper says Education Minister Norma Foley is in the process of preparing legislation to outlaw the devices from classrooms.
