A new Independent Technical Group has been formed in the 34th Dáil.
The news has been announced by Independent Ireland party leader, Michael Collins.
The group will include Michael Collins himself, alongside Richard O'Donoghue, Ken O'Flynn, Paul Gogarty, Michael and Danny Healy-Rae, as well as Roscommon-Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice.
The Independent Ireland leader said that the technical group aims to amplify independent voices in the Dáil and 'hold the government accountable.'
Independent Technical Group is currently in discussions with other Independent TDs who may join the grouping before the commencement of the next Dáil.
