It's hoped a new farm safety programme, supported by the Shannonside-based Irish Rural link, can be rolled out in the Shannonside Northern Sound region shortly.
Earlier this week the Farmers4Safety - Managing Risk Together EIP AGRI Project was launched in county Cork.
It supports a farmer to farmer mentoring approach to identifying farm safety issues as well as investigating farm families behaviours and attitudes towards farm safety, health and wellbeing and changes the norm around farm safety and emotional wellbeing

Moate based Irish Rural link, as well as a number of other groups, are collaborating on the project.
