The new Bishop of Kilmore will be ordained in Cavan in late September.
Fr Martin Hayes was announced as the new Bishop in June.
The Thurles native has served in the Diocese of Cashel and Emly since his
ordination in 1989.

He replaces Bishop Emeritus Leo O'Reilly who resigned on health grounds in
2019.
Bishop-Elect Hayes's ordination will take place in the Cathedral of SS.
Patrick & Felim in Cavan town on Sunday, September 20th.
The ceremony will be by invitation only due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound after the announcement of his
appointment the Bishop Elect said he was looking forward to taking up the
