There were 577 home care hours in Co Leitrim left unfilled at the end of December last year.
The figures have been released in a reply by the HSE to a parliamentary question by local Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny.
There were almost 240 hours left unfilled in December on the physical and sensory disability waiting list, whilst there were 42 hours on the intellectual disability waiting List.
Deputy Kenny says staff recruitment for the region should be made a priority by the HSE and Minister for Health:
