A monument in memory of a popular Roscommon man will be unveiled this afternoon.
Johnny Farrell was a well-known publican and entrepreneur from the Doughill area of the county.
He ran the well-known John's of Doughill pub - which briefly boasted its own landing strip, due to his love of aviation.
The monument is being funded by Johnny's long-time friend Jim Callery and Brehon Construction Ltd.
The official unveiling and blessing will take place at the boundary of Doughill and Killavackan at 3pm.
