There's been a 13-per-cent drop in cattle sales through marts in Connacht this year, according to the Irish Farmers Journal.

There's been a 13-per-cent drop in cattle sales through marts in Connacht this year, according to the Irish Farmers Journal.

 

It's based on sales figures for January to May, compared to the same time last year.
Fianna Fáil councillor Paddy O'Rourke, from Carrigallen, says it's a big concern:
