Roscommon Gardaí have been reaching out to rural communities this week by way of a 'mobile Garda station'. The community policing unit, which is based in Galway, has been deployed to four villages in the county as part of efforts to implement a visible Garda presence. Roscommon Community Garda Kelley Doolan visited Ballyforan and Taughmaconnell on Tuesday before spending yesterday in Ballyleague and Knockcroghery respectively.
