The Junior Transport Minister has officially opened the €3.5 million upgrade of Battery Road in Longford town.
Sean Canney cut the ribbon on the pedestrian and cycle scheme this evening.
It's a 1.3 kilometre route, connecting the town centre to the N4 Axis Centre.
Minister Canney addressed criticism over the level of disruption the project caused during construction.
