A local champion for youth issues has highlighted the vital nature of mental health supports for young people.
Eighteen-year-old Londiwe Ndlovu has been appointed as NYCI local champion for the Longford-Westmeath constituency.
The National Youth Council of Ireland is calling for additional investment in youth work in this year's Budget to finance the increasing costs of delivering local services, and to ensure equal access to youth work for all young people across the nation.
